About The Role We are currently seeking safety focused Mechanical Fitters to join our Fixed plant team on a Dynamic 182 roster flying from Perth. A Dynamic 182 roster is similar to a shutdown roster made up of 182 shifts a year, shifts will be dependant on demand but because you will be a permanent employee you still receive a consistant fortnightly pay regardless of the amount of shifts you work. The roster is forecasted 3 months in advance, so you are able to plan your life a head of time.
Key responsibilities:
Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of the processing plant Ensuring clear communication across team members and to the Supervisor in regards to downtime and trouble area Removing and installation of hard skirts, soft skirts, billets, liners, idler frames, structural steel, deflectors, chutes, screens, and vibe feeders Carrying out corrective and breakdown maintenance tasks - motor replacements, b- belts and pulleys, dust suppression and crusher main frame liners General routine inspections of crushers, skirts, idlers, plant raw water (pumps, valves and piping) Following specific maintenance strategies and procedures Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment, and sustainable development Ensuring that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed About You BHP Operations Services brings people and resources together to improve plant performance. As a member of the maintenance team you will be recognised as a master in maintenance providing safe, high-quality work every time.
We are looking for individuals who have:
Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent Fixed plant maintenance experience desired, adjucent industry experience also considered Experience having maintained Crushers, skirts, pulleys or gearboxes will be highly regarded Experience in removal and installation of deflectors and chutes also desirable Highly safety focused individual Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance management system desirableAbility to identify defective mechanical components or equipment What is on Offer?
