About the stationLiveringa Station spans over 267,000 hectares located in the picturesque West Kimberley Region WA on the banks of the mighty Fitzroy River. The property is an extensive beef cattle breeding operation running 25,000 head Brangus Cross cattle alongside a hugely successful irrigated farming operation. Liveringa mustering involves helicopters, horses and motorbikes based on low stress stock handling techniques. Located only two hours from the tourist town of Broome, Liveringa is well situated to access all that the Kimberley has to offer. Our team regularly attends training courses such as horsemanship and livestock handling in order to upskill employees. Throughout the year we attend local horse and social events in the area. Liveringa prides itself on teamwork and community, where all team members are valued and respected, and play an integral part in the successful and smooth running of the station. About the roles offeredWe are seeking two experienced, enthusiastic Farm Hands for our irrigated farming operation in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. These positions are offered on a full-time basis commencing immediately. Reporting to the Cropping Manager, your key duties will include (but not be limited to): Operation and maintenance of various farm machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment;Hay baling and silage production from centre-pivot irrigated crops;Carrying out general property maintenance and repairs;Adherence to safe operating procedures. To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:Competent operation of various farm machinery/equipment and it's servicing & maintenance;A strong knowledge of centre pivot farming practices;Basic mechanical, welding and fencing knowledge;A strong work ethic and commitment to working safely;Ability to record information and communicate effectively in the workplace;Ability to work well independently and in a small team;Hold a current Class C driver's licence (truck licence an advantage) and various other machinery operator accreditations or experience;A genuine passion for farming, the beef industry, mosaic agriculture, and working in a regional rural location.
