A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.The roleReportingto the Underground Production Supervisor, the Long Hole Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Long Hole drill rig.In this role, you willConduct pre-start checks of equipment and work area; Set up long hole rig as per specifications and plans. Perform accurate drilling to ensure holes are drilled correctly. Ensure safe, effective and productive operation of the long hole drill rig. Perform mine production tasks as required Keep accurate records of activities in the prescribed manner The personUnderground experience Previous Underground Longhole Drilling experience is essential. (Preferably Sandvik) Proven ability to recognise and follow both verbal and written instructions Ability to work rotating 12 hour night and day shifts Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Working conditionsThe role is based in Tanami and offers a FIFO roster from Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs or Brisbane.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
