Fitters, Turners & Machinists (Trades & Services)Full timeSydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver design, construct, maintenance, and facilities management services across the Southern Region of Sydney.D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP.D4C is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. Your day-to-day activities include performing planned and reactive maintenance across our region.You Must Have:An Australian Recognised Trade CertificateAustralian Drivers LicenceMust be physically fitConditions:Rates per hour $49.73Travel between north/south region will be required within the role, Vehicle supplied by D4C.Asset types requiring maintenance may include:Chemical dosing equipment experienceWastewater and water pumping stations and associated equipmentLow pressure and vacuum systemsMixers, blower, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators, and valvesAs part of the Operations Maintenance team, your day-to-day activities include:Accountability to safely conduct role within D4C and Sydney Water's safety, compliance, and environmental policiesPerform planned maintenance, ensuring compliance and safety of plant and equipmentResponsive maintenance to equipment faults on shiftRegular inspections, identifying opportunities for continuous improvementFault finding and rectification, including reporting and record maintenanceInstallation and testing of new equipmentGeneral day-to-day maintenance activitiesSkills below will be looked on favourably:Pump maintenanceHydraulics and pneumaticsWeldingPRV experienceUnderstanding and application of leading policies and proceduresTroubleshoot/Fault finding experienceTruck LicenceOperational information:Permanent - full-time role Mon to Fri on day shift 7 am startFavourable hourly rate, plus shift penalties, allowances, and overtimeLeave entitlements, RDO's, and benefitsWe need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.What's next?Click apply now and send an up-to-date CV outlining your skills and experience.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview with the hiring managers.
