Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) is a joint venture between CSBP Limited ("CSBP") (75 per cent) and Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd (25 per cent).
CSBP, a 100% owned subsidiary of Wesfarmers Limited is the operating and sales agent for AGR.
We are a producer of a reagent located in Kwinana, Western Australia and have safely and reliably manufactured and supplied our reagent to gold mines in Western Australia since 1988 and to gold and silver mines internationally since 2002.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Tradesperson to join our team of tradespeople responsible for providing systems maintenance, breakdown and process improvement services.
You will report to the Reliability Group Leader and contribute to achievement of improved plant availability, reliability and production targets and to delivering these targets in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

As a result of routine inspections and together with our Engineering team, planning and scheduling department, you will identify issues, complete installation, repair and conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Our assets include a breadth of process plant equipment such as relief valves, pressure vessels and piping, turbines, gearboxes, compressors, pumps, fan, drums, conveyer, and heat exchangers.

You will have the opportunity to identify improvement opportunities and efficiencies, and contribute to a culture where focus on safety is uncompromising.

In addition you will :
Value and drive a safety culture that responds proactively to safety issues underpinned by knowledge and understanding of safe work methods and practices.
Implement maintenance plans and achieve plant reliability and utilisation through the completion of planned maintenance activities and breakdown services Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures or malfunctions, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams for accurate implementation.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
Identify and communicate cost effective maintenance and process improvements, and participate in implementation of these improvements.
Assist in the ongoing improvement of RCM based maintenance programs, contribute to the development of shutdown cycles that maximise plant availability and minimise unplanned downtime, and manage projects related to plant and equipment reliability.

Do you have the following skills and experience?

You have a Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III or Cert IV) or similar, with previous experience working in an industrial chemicals' plant preferred.
Role model inclusive behaviour and foster an environment that values diversity.
Demonstrate a customer centric approach and the ability to hold teams and individuals accountable for meeting customer requirements.
Apply strong problem solving and analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels of the company.
Flexibility is a requirement of this role, including participating in a call out roster to respond to out of hours maintenance as required.
You will be working on a sportsman day roster.
