Job Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionJob Description for the Position: Mechanical Engineering Crane Technician Position: permanent full time based on 38 hrs / week Salary: A$ 80.000 – A$ 90.000,- p.a. Address: 8 Ainslie Close, Somersby 2250, NSWDuties: Duties will include but are not limited to:Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of POTAIN self-erecting cranes and tower cranesEnsuring that the installation of self-erecting cranes and tower cranes meet the engineering designs and finished works are within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.Assembling and installing brand new self-erecting cranes and tower cranes, including its mechanical components, crane controls and hydraulic power systems.Diagnostics and Troubleshooting of Equipment malfunctions and co-ordination of repairs.Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Structural Engineers in the data collection to assess the self-erecting cranes and tower cranes to comply with the major inspection certificates as outlined in the manufacturer's specifications.Reviewing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering TechnologistsEstimating material costs, quantities, and machine requirements whilst undergoing major inspections and or full crane component refurbishments.Qualifications / List of Skills:Being self-motivated, reliable and performing a good work ethic and taking pride in your work.Being able to work within a team environmentProven track record in diagnostics and repairs of equipmentAbility to Communicate in an excellent and professional mannerAble to Communicate fluently in EnglishExperience:Proven Record in the Repairs / Maintenance of heavy plant and lifting equipment (in particular, POTAIN Self Erecting Cranes and Tower Cranes)Supervision of the refurbishment of Heavy Plant and Equipment.Experience in the POTAIN, COMEDIL Crane RangeEducation:Tertiary Engineering Degree
