Overview We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a focus in Steam Systems!
What You'll Be Doing: Design of mechanical systems including steam systems (high pressure and low pressure), boiler plants, HVAC systems, and plumbing systems to meet all applicable codes and client design requirements. This individual will also direct and mentor junior staff during the design process including the editing of written specifications.
Responsibilities Perform complex assignments requiring development of new and/or improved techniques and procedures. Participate in the interpretation, update, and/or creation of Standards of Practice. Perform the duties of a Project Engineer. Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff. May serve as Bergmann's contact for clients and contractors. May act as quality coordinator for discipline led projects. Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, view obstacles as opportunities. Qualifications Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, has a minimum of 10+ years' experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Prevention design. Ideal candidate is a licensed PE. Prior experience designing mechanical systems including steam systems (high pressure and low pressure), boiler plants, HVAC systems, and plumbing systems required.
What You'll Need to Be Successful: Ability to use advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in developing designs. Ability to perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and/or design engineers on projects. Ability to assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for design questions. Working knowledge of Industry Standard (ISA) P & ID development and evaluation. Advanced in Revit. Proficient in AutoCAD. Proficient in Carrier HAP. A passion for leadership. A team player who is also able to work independently.
