Project Planning – Effectively plans out assigned activities/tasks to achieve defined goals. Project Outputs, Outcomes & Quality (Team Performance) – Understands the appropriate level of quality for assigned activities/tasks. Conducts assigned activities/tasks following prescribed methods seeking appropriate review and supervision to achieve appropriate quality. Reviews & Approvals – As Originator, co-ordinates and completes effective reviews of assigned Output or Outcomes. Project Management – Manages assigned activities/tasks and expectations of relevant stakeholders. Communicates effectively and timely on status of assigned activities. Adjusts to meet goals and commitments made. About you Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum of two years' experience working in new product development of mechanical or electromechanical systems for mid to high volume manufacture. Preferably in the medical device or consumer product industries. Key specific areas of desired qualifications, knowledge and experience include:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar applicable technical discipline Computer Skills (required): Microsoft Office suite (inc Powerpoint & Project), CAD software (preferably Solidworks and/or Creo/Pro-e), FEA software An understanding of designing for manufacturing processes: injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, compression moulding, elastomers, machining Experience in designing dynamic and static systems integrating mechanical and electronic elements A good understanding or familiarity with issues in integrating electronic components and sub systems Knowledge of and ability to apply prototyping techniques and technologies A ability to apply sound engineering principles in analyzing and solving complex engineering challenges, and utilising simulation (i.e. FEA) in new product development projects Understanding of new product development under design controls as specified by a Quality Management System (ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP or similar) Ability to communicate engineering approach from requirements through to execution Why IDE Exceptional mentoring program to ensure your career progresses where you want to go Employee Assistance Program Cross-Functional Team Social Activities Ready to join the team?
