We are seeking a hands-on mechanical draftsperson to join our engineering team in Aubigny. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will create 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings while providing technical support to the production team. You will also be involved in product changes and process improvements for attachments and machinery in the earthmoving industry. Additionally, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to produce products from the design stage through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and draft new products and product upgrades on McCormack attachments, including:Structural and mechanical designs, including attachments and guarding, loader arms, and lifting jibs Hydraulic control systems Electrical systems, including wiring looms General modelling and drafting on AutoCAD/ Inventor Produce detailed manufacturing drawings Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with job specifications Complete product testing and trials Perform basic administrative duties such as updating data and BOMs in the ERP system Assist in the costing and sourcing of materials Work with the production team to improve manufacturing processes and develop new tooling and fixtures Write Scope of Works documents Create and edit instruction manuals and technical service bulletins You must have the following attributes and qualifications:
A thorough understanding of drafting principles using 3D mechanical drafting software/AutoCAD Inventor and Vault Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Company Benefits:
