We are seeking a hands-on mechanical draftsperson to join our engineering team in Aubigny.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will create 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings while providing technical support to the production team.
You will also be involved in product changes and process improvements for attachments and machinery in the earthmoving industry.
Additionally, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to produce products from the design stage through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, design, and draft new products and product upgrades on McCormack attachments, including:Structural and mechanical designs, including attachments and guarding, loader arms, and lifting jibsHydraulic control systemsElectrical systems, including wiring loomsGeneral modelling and drafting on AutoCAD/ InventorProduce detailed manufacturing drawingsInspect designs and finished products for compliance with job specificationsComplete product testing and trialsPerform basic administrative duties such as updating data and BOMs in the ERP systemAssist in the costing and sourcing of materialsWork with the production team to improve manufacturing processes and develop new tooling and fixturesWrite Scope of Works documentsCreate and edit instruction manuals and technical service bulletinsYou must have the following attributes and qualifications: A thorough understanding of drafting principles using 3D mechanical drafting software/AutoCAD Inventor and VaultMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar roleAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompany Benefits: Opportunities for career progression and additional trainingFree EAP service for staff and their familiesFitness AppExclusive offers for well-known/leading brands and company'sWellbeing toolkitsAssessments and support programs covering Financial, Mental, Physical and Social WellbeingSeasonal vaccinationsSubsidised on-site fitness sessionsStaff events such as company BBQs, Christmas Parties etc.Although not essential, a background in machinery design, automotive or mining equipment would be an advantage.
