We're seeking a high performing individual with relevant qualifications and managerial experience to fill the ongoing Manager role in our Family Safety team.
Job Description The Manager Family Safety leads services that promote the safety and wellbeing of victim survivors of family violence and vulnerable families in the Mallee and Far West New South Wales.
The Manager oversees MASP's operations in the Mallee Orange Door, the Family Safety Housing Support program, Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE), and Restoring Relationships.
The role includes strategic planning, program oversight, performance, supervision and fostering partnerships to enhance resources, promoting a safer environment for affected families.
Expected commencing salary of $128,583.50 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.
Desired Skills and Experience Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience, or a combination of both.
Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in social work and related fields, along with an understanding of business and finance.
Highly developed leadership and managerial skills, including excellent organisational skills, analytical skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines along with the compliance requirements of various state and federal government funding bodies.
Experience in working collaboratively with other organisations in formal and informal partnerships to achieve client outcomes.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal skills including active listening, empathy, social awareness, and emotional intelligence.
Extremely proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
Management experience in a not for profit / charitable organisation.
A working knowledge of current policy relating to the Family Violence sector.
Knowledge of the issues affecting those impacted by Family Violence, the influences and effects of the social environment and advocating with and on behalf of those who are disadvantaged.
