Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) My client is a leading Australian law firm, known for their well-resourced marketing and business development team which offers a fantastic career development opportunities, work-life balance and a friendly culture. This firm is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Executive to join their team in Canberra. The role works closely with Partners, legal teams and clients in the Commonwealth Government Sector and Canberra office. The role supports the marketing initiatives across the Commonwealth Government portfolio, with particular focus on delivering against the strategic plan, running campaigns, hosting events, developing marketing materials, engaging with clients for feedback and drafting compelling tender responses.This position is a full-time role based in Canberra, although flexible working arrangements are available.ResponsibilitiesCreative support and implementation of marketing campaigns and thought leadership Creative development and implementation of events/webinarsProviding strategic and proactive advice on business development and marketing initiatives Leading pursuits, including preparation of tenders and capability statements (with assistance of the bid and pursuit team)Client research/market analysis to support business development effortsInvolvement in client service reviewsInvolvement in other broader business development and marketing projects Key client plan support and executionDraft, capture and refine content in the firm's bid systemMaintain submission register data for the firm's tender analysis process Identifying client network opportunities, emerging product and service areas and working with other stakeholders to pursue theseSkills/ExperienceIdeally you will have a background in professional services (accounting, consulting, engineering or legal) and experience of marketing/business development campaign management.Commonwealth Government bids, business development, marketing or event management experience preferred, but not essential. Specific skills include:Attention to detail, thoroughProject management abilityComfortable working within tight timeframesProficient user of technology Experience in dealing with multiple and senior stakeholdersDalton Handley is the recruitment agency managing this role for our client.
