About the role As a Marine Service Technician, you'll be office based in Coomera and you will be pivotal in receiving, testing, diagnosing, repairing, and reporting on faulty returned products. You'll also provide trouble shooting and technical advice and service to our wide range of customers (dealers and end users). You will enjoy managing the challenges of workflow between physical inventory interactions, customer enquiries, and offsite visits to meet our customer expectations from around Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.
In addition, you will be responsible for documentation, reporting, and return shipping of Navico Group products on a regular basis as well as the creation of inspection and testing procedures in conjunction with our product experts.
Some Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate familiarity with the full Navico Group consumer range of products. Assess and confirm reported faults for all returned products, including our Mains level AC power-based product ranges. Diagnose basic to reasonably complex installation and operator issues. Maintain accurate data records for fault analysis. Identify and report any regularly occurring issues. Manage workflow to meet customer demands and timelines. Build and maintain credible and trusted working relationships with dealers and internal staff. Work closely with our dealers, end users, and internal staff, to provide quality support, troubleshooting and field recommendations. Attend boat shows and promotional events as necessary to aid in sales and perform field technical support when necessary. Attend training and be proactive with self-learning on a continuous basis (due to the ever-changing nature of the market and products). You Bring A passion for delivering an outstanding level of service and support to our customers, including enthusiasm, maturity, a strong work ethic and an effervescent personality. You have a proven ability to identify and define the cause of a technical problem, ideally based on experience from within the marine/RV industry. In addition, you will have:
Experience in testing and repairing electronic devices, including 230 V AC devices. At least a certification of Restricted Electrical Worker's licence (REL) or equivalent, which enables electrical work to be carried out on mains voltage AC devices. A good understanding of power systems i.e. Batteries, Chargers, Battery Management and Digital Switching Systems. At least 5 years of Marine and/or Mobile Vehicle industry technical experience. Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technology. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with common office IT applications and experience in the Microsoft office Suite, CRM & ERP systems. Excellent attention to detail. High levels of motivation and commitment with a keen desire to impart your knowledge to others.
