Are you proud of what you accomplished today? At Marel, our people are. We're seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. In this role, you'll work closely with the Regional Financial Controller and a small finance team to manage financial accounting, compliance, and reporting. You'll also liaise with tax consultants and payroll service providers, making an impact every day.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Financial Accountant , you'll:
Process month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare end-of-month and year-end financial statements. Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. Ensure tax compliance and prepare monthly BAS, GST, and FBT returns. Liaise with tax consultants and provide information for tax and company returns. Oversee intercompany reconciliations. Audit financial transactions to substantiate documentation. Assist with management information reports. Provide ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller as needed. What Kind of Person Are You?

Skills and Abilities
A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in data. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external partners. A proactive approach, always looking for ways to add value to the organization. Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or finance. CPA qualification. 4-6 years of accounting experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or MYOB is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams is an advantage. Ready to Join Us?
