We are representing a confidential opportunity for an experienced and driven State Director to lead the VIC division of a well-established national business in the construction and refurbishment sector. Key Responsibilities: Lead the VIC division, driving growth and expanding market share while maintaining the company's strong reputation for quality.
Oversee a seasoned team already embedded in the market, ensuring that projects, typically in the multimillion-dollar range, are delivered to the highest standards.
Foster an inclusive, one-team culture where accountability, open communication, and collaboration are central.
Ensure workplace safety remains a top priority and projects are delivered with zero defects to maintain 100% customer satisfaction.
Balance business development with operational leadership, winning new work and driving smooth project delivery.
Manage resources effectively, coordinating day and night teams to ensure seamless execution.
Act as a values-driven leader, with a focus on honesty , accountability , and providing solutions where "nothing is a hassle."
Ideal Candidate Profile: A proven leader with experience in retail refurbishment or construction, ideally with a background in the trades.
Strong commercial acumen, with a successful history of winning work and overseeing operations.
A hands-on leader with a dynamic personality who can engage clients and inspire teams.
Experience in delivering both small and large-scale projects with a focus on detail, efficiency, and zero defects.
Knowledge of the VIC market and experience in managing established teams.
Familiarity with the values of accountability and ensuring customer satisfaction , embedded in every aspect of project delivery.
Experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 companies is a plus.
