Rijk Zwaan Australia is seeking a dynamic Managing Director to oversee the Finance, IT, and HR functions at its Daylesford location. This role is integral to fostering a people-oriented company culture while motivating a talented team. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the fruits and vegetable seed business in the Oceania cluster, which spans both Australia and New Zealand.
Working closely with two other Managing Directors, you will share joint responsibility for leading the 70-person operation, focusing on financial oversight, legal compliance, and strategic HR and IT management. You will directly manage a team of four within these functions and collaborate on long-term planning with a focus on growth and operational excellence.
As the Managing Director for Finance, IT, and HR, you will take a hands-on leadership role in shaping the company's future. Rijk Zwaan's activities include breeding support, production, product development, marketing, and sales, all geared toward improving global food supply.
Reporting to the Rijk Zwaan board in The Netherlands, you will play a key part in strategic decision-making, including developing a five-year plan with investment strategies and sales targets. In this people-centric role, you will help maintain the unique company culture while ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency.
