Reconnecting River Country Program Temporary full-time opportunity to 30 June 2025, with possibility of extension Riverina/Albury location Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $139,787 to $161,663 super The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a Manager, Works Development in a temporary, full-time capacity to 30 June 2025, to lead development of mitigation works planning and methodologies for the Reconnecting River Country Program. About You You will have experience in complex water management issues that require novel solutions. You will also have advanced problem-solving skills to identify solutions in a time constrained environment. In this role you will manage a multi-disciplinary team that requires expertise in resource coordination, leading project deliverables and ensuring milestones are met within required timeframes. You will also have some experience in procurement and contracted services, and managing budgets. Key accountabilities of the role include: Scope and plan the implementation of program/project outcomes. Coordinate expertise to develop plans and strategies, and manage contracts and consultancies as required ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met within required timeframes. Support development and documentation of business cases relating to mitigation works, including procurement and commercial approach planning, cost estimates, and delivery resource planning. Responsible for WHS reporting, compliance and risk management and planning for the Works Development team and program delivery. Work collaboratively with program managers and the broader department to establish the program's procurement plans and delivery strategies. Provide expert advice for project management, ensuring contractors and services are engaged and scheduled appropriately, and contributing to project evaluation monitoring and reporting to meet project budget and timeframes. Review and evaluate project deliverables, utilising best practice program methodologies, to ensure budget and resourcing requirements are met, and embedding the establishment of compliance, audit and assessment frameworks. Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders to provide leadership, expertise and information to them and the program team. Represent the program in external stakeholder forums. Provide expert advice to governance committees, Executive, project owners and stakeholders. Provide project milestone reports, Ministerial responses, briefings and other documentation as required.
