About this Opportunity Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, Medical and Retrieval Services, as our first Manager Virtual Emergency Care, you will be accountable for the delivery of multiple services that provide remote emergency care across South Australia, including the medical chest program, First Aid and AED training, remote emergency consultations, and oversight of the telehealth unit and the Virtual Emergency Centre at William Creek.
While this role can be based in either Adelaide or Port Augusta, there will be frequent travel required to Port Augusta and across South Australia.
Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Executive General Manager, establish a single Virtual Emergency Care Service that encompasses all the current elements provided by the RFDS SA/NT.Identify current and evolving opportunities to expand training and resourcing to existing medical chest and primary care communities.Financially manage the Virtual Emergency Care cost centre and identify potential revenue streams.Lead the development of Virtual Emergency Care data collection mechanisms and dashboards.Contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of alternative service delivery methodologies.Ensure a scalable model of service delivery that could expand into the NT.About You You possess:
Well-developed management skills, including demonstrated skills in leadership and decision making.Experience working in a high-pressure emergency clinical setting.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.A commitment to continuous quality improvement and innovation.Demonstrated commercial acumen and exceptional problem-solving skills.Minimum Requirements: University degree in relevant study area.Nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.5-7 years relevant experience (leadership experience would be advantageous).Full and valid driver's licence issued in an Australian state or territory.As part of our team, you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best.
