Betashares is seeking an accomplished and motivated professional to join the Superannuation team as the Manager of Superannuation Operations. Reporting to the Head of Superannuation, this pivotal role will engage, monitor and ensure high quality service delivery from a range of Betashares Super's internal and external service providers. As the leader of the Superannuation Operations function, you will work with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to introduce business processes and procedures in line with policies and objectives to meet the needs of our members. This includes ensuring all operational processes consider and promote regulatory compliance and risk management. In addition to your core responsibility in Operations, you will play a crucial role in educating the wider Betashares business on operational processes and requirements for the Superannuation offering. Role Responsibilities Develop, document and maintain the Operational strategy and model for the superannuation business including through change activities. Monitor, review and manage the relationships with service providers against service standards and report outcomes to the Board. Propose and implement changes where necessary. Build and manage a governance framework across all key areas of the servicing model as it relates to the service provision. Ensuring completeness of all internal and external documentation in accordance with the governing framework that will support Board reporting (including feeding into compliance reports). Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Design, implement and maintain ongoing operational effectiveness of internal controls. Identify system and process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Actively participate in project working groups. Contribute to the annual business review processes (e.g. SPS515 assessments), including making recommendations for changes where necessary as part of planning processes. Support other activities such as periodic statement reviews, PDS rolls and contributing to member meetings. Project management of the operational aspects of new product development. Development and execution of robust testing practices around change activity. Skills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or related disciplines. Further relevant Superannuation qualifications are highly regarded. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Superannuation regulatory environment, laws, rules and regulations in Australia is crucial. Experience with stakeholder management in ensuring requirements are met to agreed timelines. Experience overseeing the development and ongoing management of operational processes. Experience with identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigation of operational risks. Experience overseeing material service relationships. Demonstrated ability to work with others at all levels to solve complex business problems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong customer focus. Demonstrated experience with change management and documentation.
