Reporting directly to the Director of City Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the Council's asset management strategy. This includes overseeing the development of policies, strategies, and frameworks to ensure the responsible management of Council's assets, meeting community expectations while optimizing capital investments.You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement in asset management practices. A key part of the role will be providing high-level strategic advice to Councillors and the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and the efficient use of Council's resources. In addition, you will manage Council's utility budgets, optimize expenditure, and support the organization's emergency management readiness.About the Successful ApplicantTo be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in asset management, including the planning, design, and maintenance of civil infrastructure. Your strong leadership and communication skills will enable you to manage a highly professional team, drive change, and foster a culture of innovation and customer service excellence. You will have a proven track record of delivering strategic asset management frameworks and managing complex service delivery functions.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of asset lifecycle management, budgeting, and financial processes, along with the ability to provide expert advice on complex infrastructure and emergency management issues.
