About the RoleThis is an 18-month fixed term role, reporting to the Senior Manager One Water in Service Futures. The role of Manager Sewerage Strategy & Policy is responsible for key leadership in driving the sewerage strategic and policy intent for the business and ensure it is integrated with our other services to get us closer to an integrated future.
Ensures consistency across all elements of strategy development and implementationImplement current strategies and merge them into the new strategic frameworkCreate strategies and service plans that allow MW to anticipate future challengesClosely align with external affairs to ensure the right sector influenceResponsible for developing and continuing to refine an integrated 5-20+ year view of the infrastructure and non-infrastructure needs of the city (built and natural) to deliver our vision (adaptive plans), focusing on the system performance rather than the vision/specific asset design.About you:Demonstrated sound knowledge of Sewerage (transfer, treatment, quality), both technical and policy elementsHold a deep understanding of strategy development.Strong interest and experience in adaptive and scenario planning.Experience managing and leading high performing teamsExperience fostering cross-organisation and cross-industry collaborationRelevant Tertiary qualificationWhy join us:At Melbourne Water, we care deeply about water and the life it sustains.
