About the Role The Manager Services and Operations plays a key leadership role in overseeing the maintenance and delivery of Colac Otway Shire's infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and parks and reserves.
This role is responsible for managing the Shire's depots, with a focus on ensuring Council's civil works programs and asset maintenance services are delivered effectively to meet the needs of the community.
The Manager will also oversee operations at the Colac Municipal Aerodrome and the Colac Regional Saleyards, providing critical support to the Shire's agricultural community.
Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure and Environment, this role will lead Council's outdoor operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery while fostering a strong culture of collaboration and community engagement.
The Manager will play an integral role in the ongoing enhancement of Council's service delivery and operational capabilities.
Candidate Profile We are seeking an experienced leader with a background in infrastructure management and service delivery, specifically within local government or similar operational environments.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing road construction, asset maintenance, and operational services across diverse landscapes.
Experience in managing heavy plant operations, saleyards, and aerodromes will be highly regarded.
Strong leadership and communication skills, along with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships, will be critical to the success of this role.
