Manager, Risk Maturity & Risk CultureWestpac Banking Corporation, Sydney, AustraliaPermanent Role, Sydney based preferred - hybrid workingSupport the business to proactively uplift risks and control within our Consumer DivisionIncredible opportunity to propel your Risk career within the Westpac GroupJob Description The Manager, Risk Maturity and Risk Culture will identify, manage, mitigate and monitor risks for the Consumer Division (including Consumer Transformation) through key risk management programs. This includes risk attestations, risk profiles, risk management framework and risk culture assessments and recommendations for risk management and risk culture improvements.
You will work within a team of risk professionals who support the Consumer Division in risk and control identification through managing risk profiles, obligations, and identifying areas which require control uplift. Adopt value chain views and insights as required. You will support the business with risk subject matter expertise, in particular raising issues testing controls and managing incident verification activities.
Other responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the development and monitoring of CD Return to Medium Appetite Plans with appropriate cadence for LOBs and Line 2Contributing to the implementation of Divisional requirements for Risk & Compliance projects as requiredDelivery of reporting outcomes for risk and controls across the businessSupport Risk Management Framework and Risk Culture Assessment, and Action Plan Management (Development, Tracking & Monitoring)Support of the development of Risk Maturity and Risk Culture activities for COO TransformationPromoting a strong risk culture of control awareness and risk mitigation in dealings with COO Transformation and Lines of BusinessReport Production & Monitoring (Juno & SIP & Agile Data Lab)Risk and Compliance Attestations as requiredValue Chain Risk Management including Deep Dive/Process Reviews. What do I need? To be successful in this role you will have:
Excellent stakeholder management skills with a high standard of professionalismProven experience working within business risk teams and have strong Risk Management Framework experience (3 -5 years +) together with a risk profile / risk management backgroundDemonstrated experience in developing and embedding risk concepts and toolsets, with excellent planning and organisational skillsA strong sense of balancing priorities and delivering accurate and complete updates on timeProven business proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
