About the Role
As a Risk Acquisitions Manager in our team, you'll play a key role in helping to directly contribute to the strategic review of ANZ's CCPL business. This role is responsible for creating and implementing frameworks that are designed to reduce ANZ's exposure to credit risk and resulting financial losses. These roles provide a structured and disciplined process for managing credit risk within the business.

What will your day look like? As a Risk Acquisitions Manager, you will:
Display thought leadership with respect to the development and implementation of Acquisition strategies that are geared towards balancing the trade-offs across customer experience, credit automation/process simplification, new business writing/revenue growth, and managing loss exposure Assist to deliver an agreed work plan across Acquisition Strategies that is aligned to operational strategies and deliver the greatest benefit to the wider organisation.  Contribute to performance conversations with an operational and strategic focus, to ensure the appropriate dialog takes place with an emphasis on understanding portfolio performance in the areas of scorecard outcome, delinquency outcomes, settlements and conversion relative to Business Writing Strategies (BWS) / Plan, key trends, operational performance, root causes, and key and emerging risks and issues but also opportunities for both retail portfolios, and agree, prioritize, and support appropriate actions.  Assist with the development and documentation of acquisition strategies, their alignment with operational processes and strategies, business requirements, issues, and specific enhancement proposals.  Assist with the prioritization of tasks and projects to ensure optimal resource usage and business benefit and supporting effective management of workloads, without compromising quality of deliverables Helping drive all related aspects of target opportunities in strategy development that directly contribute to the ongoing improvement of acquisition simplification and efficiency via the use of predictive decision strategies.  Participate in projects to rationalise, simplify, and improve credit policy deployment, acquisition front end strategy, and process Provide technical advice, technical training and mentoring to team members. What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategies.  Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.).  Proven ability to design, enhance and work with reporting sources.  At least ten years' experience in risk management, with extensive cross-functional and cross-portfolio strategy experience.  Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and communication with staff and peers.  Proven ability to communicate up (one level above) and amongst peer groups. Effective people and project management skills, with the ability to motivate analysts.  Well-developed written and oral skills.  Demonstrated financial skills in portfolio management.  You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
