About The Role
As the Manager, Regional Programs, you will specifically:
Provide leadership and management ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and client satisfaction in DESBT regional programs and services, and lead the development of innovative and practical enhancements for existing activities or gaps in service delivery.
Provide expert advice and strategic analysis to the Regional Director regarding the delivery of high-quality services and programs to support training and skilling initiatives in the region, and recommend solutions to address issues identified at both the strategic and operational levels.
Identify and analyse complex policy issues and oversee regional planning initiatives; integration of service delivery strategies, risk management, performance management and demonstrate a commitment to core values.
Manage high-level networks with external organisations, government departments, industry, and businesses to keep abreast of current trends and foster strategic partnerships and alliances, relevant to vocational education and training issues.
Actively engage with stakeholders of the vocational education and training system including organisations, enterprises, industry, training organisations and schools, to ensure their training and employment needs are well understood and can be translated into a range of possible solutions and service system responses.
Promote the department's portfolio of services and articulate policy direction and activities through engaging industry, business, community, local and state Government and other local key stakeholders. Consult widely, share information and ensure others are kept informed of issues and developments, especially during times of change.
