EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity EnergyCo's Project Interface and Strategic Coordination Branch is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Project Coordination to drive the Branch's strategic initiatives, leveraging expertise in project management gained from government projects to identify opportunities to optimise the development and delivery of infrastructure programs. These initiatives are essential to advancing the NSW Government Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and supporting EnergyCo's role as Infrastructure Planner of the declared Renewable Energy Zones.
The Project Interface and Strategic Coordination Branch collaborates closely with various project and corporate branches of EnergyCo as well as a diverse range of relevant government agencies to drive the scoping, coordination and delivery of state-wide enabling infrastructure and related programs across roads and transport, ports capacity and infrastructure, workforce accommodation, telecommunications, water and waste management and other logistic and supply chains.
The Manager Project Coordination will serve as a primary point of contact for EnergyCo's interactions with multiple cross-government agencies, providing high quality strategic advice and facilitating engagement and negotiation to foster alignment amongst Roadmap partners. The Manager Project Coordination will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of dynamic, large-scale projects that are pivotal to shaping the State's renewable energy future.
About You To be successful in the role you will have experience in managing and delivering complex projects within a government context, with a strong focus on strategic alignment, business case development and outcomes delivery. Your proven track record in project management reflects a commitment to effective project coordination, monitoring, and delivery, including comprehensive stakeholder engagement and management.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, encourage engagement and secure agreement from a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to craft clear, consistent and timely messages is crucial to the role, particularly in response to critical issues requiring sensitive treatment within a complex political environment.
Your project management expertise enables you to anticipate and proactively address emerging risks and issues, providing sound, well-informed advice on complex and/or sensitive matters, often within tight deadlines. You are adept at synthesising information from various sources whilst maintaining confidentiality and exercising diplomacy.
As a subject matter expert, you have the demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations, including those of Government and the Minister, strategically balancing and resolving conflict between competing priorities, policies, programs and between stakeholders. You will play a key role in providing strategic advice to the EnergyCo Board and Chief Executive, contributing to the development of strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
Essential Requirements Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
