Manager Planning, Research and ReportingAbout the Small Business Development Corporation The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) is the primary provider of small business information and guidance within the Western Australian Government. We support the development and growth of small businesses by providing information, referrals, and business advice, and deliver programs to address specific needs within the small business sector. The SBDC also promotes the small business sector through policy review and development, research, investigations, and advocacy.

About the Position This is a fixed term (18 month) opportunity with the possibility of extension or permanency.

We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Planning, Research, and Reporting to lead and shape strategic and business planning functions, establishing agency performance metrics that support the Board and executive team and drive sustainable growth and success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance planning processes, aligning objectives with actionable outcomes and effectively monitoring performance. This is your chance to make a significant impact and leave your mark by building and improving these essential functions.
Key Responsibilities: Establishing and delivering corporate performance metrics and reporting.Leading a review of agency KPIs as part of the Outcomes Based Management framework.Overseeing the development of the Annual Report, showcasing achievements and ensuring compliance.Driving business improvement initiatives that optimize planning processes for greater efficiency.Developing and delivering the annual research plan to guide the agency, inform on macro environment changes impacting small businesses, and support effective advocacy, all aligned with strategic objectives.A full statement of duties for the position can be found in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).
