What you will receive The chance to effect real change in a large and diverse organisation by leading a team of dedicated employees to achieve excellence in service delivery.An appropriate remuneration package, including restricted private use of a Council vehicle, competitive salary and superannuation.What you will do You will lead, manage, and direct the work of the People and Culture Branch in all aspects of people, culture and safety matters, including overseeing the delivery of high quality, specialist technical advice relating to the management of employee behaviour, engagement, safety and culture through the application of relevant policies, procedures and legislation under which Council has obligations.
You will utilise your high-level leadership and management capabilities to ensure strategic alignment of Branch priorities with broader organisational objectives by recognising the importance of making decisions that address current and future business needs, guided by contemporary human resource practices.
What you will bring to the role To be successful in this role you will need to hold the qualifications, skills and experience listed in the Position Description which includes but is not limited to:
Strong leadership and management experience in a human resources or organisational psychology field.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Knowledge and skills that allow you to provide specialised advice on a range of matters related to the role.Local Government and Public Sector Management experience will be highly regarded.A commitment to Council's Organisational Values and Behaviours.How to apply To apply, please submit two documents:
