About the role
Reporting to the General Manager EHO, the People & Culture (P&C) Manager partners with the business to ensure the operation delivers on its medium to long-term plans.
This role supports the business to ensure an engaged and capable workforce.
As the site leader for P&C, the role involves the management of the P&C function, shaping the culture of the operation, designing P&C processes which deliver results, coaching business leaders, and leading the people planning process to support the site business plans.
Some of the key result areas for this role will include:
Leading change management processes for major P&C projects and initiatives and building change capability in the site leadership team (SLT).
Partnering with the GM and SLT to deliver the desired culture at site through our people leaders.
Engaging with employees to understand the current "pulse" at site, and helping the business to deliver on action plans related to site engagement surveys.
Working with the business to develop workforce planning and associated budgets to ensure efficient operations and ability to deliver on site strategy.
Overseeing the annual performance review cycle and working within frameworks to deliver a program that links strategy, governance and individual goals.
Coaching, advising on and facilitating the performance management process, predominantly for senior roles.
Fostering a learning environment for our teams through targeted leadership development.
Negotiating, interpreting and advising on industrial relations, including the site Enterprise Agreement.
Leading the employee relations strategy, principles, and practice at site, ensuring risk mitigation, navigating legal requirements and ensuring alignment of ER practices with cultural goals.
Overseeing the annual remuneration and incentive review process, coaching leaders through the process and ensuring remuneration is aligned to overall business strategy and principles.
About you
You will have significant experience working within a medium to large organisation in a generalist P&C role at a senior level, ideally leading a team of P&C professionals.
You will have worked in dynamic and challenging environments and have experience working in a site-based P&C leadership role, ideally within the mining industry, however experience in other comparable industries will be considered.
Your knowledge of contemporary P&C practices, organisational development and change initiatives will be essential as you lead large scale site-based change programs and develop medium to long-term P&C plans linked to operational strategy.
You'll have ER/IR experience in an industrial setting with the ability to negotiate and interpret EAs, as well as experience developing business plans, budgets and workforce planning aligned to business strategy and goals.
You will have a strong leadership presence, leading by example, and coaching and mentoring others to build organisational capability.
You will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and promote collaboration, both within your team and cross-functionally across departments and disciplines.
You'll have an established reputation for developing and driving business strategy and delivering results that contribute to the success of the organisation.
