About the Queensland Family and Child Commission
The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) is dedicated to ensuring every Queensland child is loved, respected, and has their rights upheld. The QFCC plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families across Queensland, through influencing policy, supporting community engagement and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to promote child safety standards. With a focus on building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the QFCC strives to foster a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves. Following new child safety legislation, the QFCC is implementing its Child Safe Organisation (CSO) system, encompassing a mandatory child-safe standards scheme and a reportable conduct scheme.
About the Role and You
This newly created role puts you at the helm of designing and leading the implementation of new Human Resource strategies, policies and processes, to ensure a smooth workforce transition as the QFCC expands its operations to deliver its CSO scheme. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration of the new child-safe standards and reportable conduct schemes, ensuring a seamless transition for the workforce and championing a strong, child-safe culture within QFCC. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services and leading a team of two, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of cultural change management processes, ensuring alignment with key organisational strategies and building a cohesive, psychologically safe environment. Key to your success will be your ability to lead complex cultural change, ensuring alignment across the organisation. You will bring strong leadership, with experience in human resources strategy, change management and workforce development. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of child protection in Queensland, at a critical juncture for the QFCC. If you are a passionate leader with a desire to contribute to meaningful change, we would love to hear from you.
