This role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring that every visitor's journey is engaging, inclusive, and inspiring.
You'll oversee day-to-day operations, collaborating across teams to lead and support the following:
Lead and develop the Visitor Engagement and Bookings & Enquiries teams to achieve Museums Victoria's vision and mission.Maintain and enhance operational systems to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging visitor environment.Plan and manage department budgets, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to financial goals.Collaborate departments to optimise museum operations and enhance visitor experiences.Develop strategies to drive visitation and revenue while continuously improving the visitor experience.Manage operations for major facilities and events, including the Royal Exhibition Building Dome Promenade and Touring Hall exhibitions.Respond to complex visitor feedback and complaints, ensuring high standards of customer service.ABOUT US Museums Victoria is Australia's largest public museum organisation, caring for the state's scientific and cultural collections. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Demonstrated experience in customer service leadership and enhancing visitor experiences.Strong strategic advisory skills and the ability to support executive decision-making.High-level negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of Australia's culturally diverse society.Commitment to transparency, integrity, and ethical decision-making.Strong project management and organisational skills, with a focus on operational excellence.OTHER INFORMATION: This is a full-time, ongoing position with a salary of $130,673 (base of grade) plus 11.5% superannuation.
