Find a career that matters and lasts As Manager - Major Projects Design, you will lead a team to deliver consistently high standards of design and services for projects delivered within our Major Projects division.
You will also: Be the primary contact for Major Projects within Design Solutions, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and external resources.
Lead the Major Projects Design team, fostering a safe and inclusive culture and manage change required to implement strategy.
Oversee the Major Projects Design teams performance, resource allocation and delivery in line with program or project delivery variations to ensure efficient, and cost effective delivery of services.
Manage the implementation of consistent and compliant deployment of Powerlink's design services processes including planning and scheduling, documentation and services coordination, to ensure effective and cost-efficient coordination of all designs between internal and external design service providers for the delivery of services for our Major Projects.
Actively participate, and lead in the development of program and project management plans, collaborating across design teams and divisions - particularly for the commitment of Powerlink Major Project design services and resources as required for the successful execution of these plans.

Your expertise Degree level qualifications in Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of designs for large and complex projects in infrastructure.
Electricity industry experience is desirable.
Leadership experience of a technical team working in a complex project management delivery environment.
A high level of demonstrated experience in building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships  Demonstrated safety leadership in the development and delivery of designs and technical services for electrical transmission networks, including ensuring quality and safety of outsourced design work Demonstrated leadership capability, including being able to influence through effectively engaging with peers and Senior Leaders across multiple divisions to ensure "best-for-business" outcomes.
