In this exciting role, you will manage a team for the successful delivery of best practice processes in relation to developing, implementing and managing land access and acquisition across various Development & Future Networks electricity infrastructure projects throughout Victoria.
Your team and you will focus on building and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting commercial and delivery teams in establishing contact with landowners and effectively negotiating licences, leases, easements and other property documents with varied stakeholders through the application of land tenure, property law and valuation principles.
With a 3/2 Hybrid (Office/WFH) split this role is based in CBD with Ad-Hoc travel to site and is part of the Community Engagement and Land Planning Team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Establish and grow a team of subject matter experts with skills and experience in valuations and estimates, negotiations, transaction management and conveyancing. Lead team to secure land and easements and associated agreements to enable timely and efficient delivery of projects. Demonstrate strong leadership and subject matter expertise in relation to management of a team of land access advisors for the delivery of expert advice time-critical processes, maximising on commercial outcomes of AusNet and stakeholders/landowners. Deliver leasing and licensing arrangements in relation to the use of land and network assets and associated payments. Deliver property-based service and technical expertise, support and leadership across all land access and acquisition activities. Deliver pre- and post-construction property condition assessments, compensation, and valuation advice to support landholder claims procedure. Deliver systematic capture of geospatial property information (GIS) relating to the land assets of AusNet, leveraging GIS tools to create efficiency in valuation and compensation estimates. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience. Electricity infrastructure, renewable energy or energy background. Geographic Information Systems knowledge and use. Demonstrated experience in property research and knowledge of land tenure systems, including easement, property, valuation, and contract law including land acquisition statutes. Demonstrated knowledge of Lands Titles Office processes. Experience in landowner/stakeholder engagement and negotiation of property transactions. Experience in leading project or specialist function activities. Relevant experience in critical capital infrastructure projects ($1Bn+).
