Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a role model for the team, forstering a culture of integrity, transparency and trust.Manage the infrastructure and logistics functions (capital works, cleaning, security, space, external leasing and fleet) across all regional campuses including the development of performance management benchmarks that focus on the provision of client-focused services that meet with the region's strategic intent. Provide high-level advice and support to TAFE Queensland North Executive and Senior Leaders in relation to capital infrastructure and logistics as well as the preparation of analytical reports and documentation. Lead the region's compliance with environmental protection, asbestos and associated legislation and requirements. Manage the region's infrastructure and space plans in line with funding, guidelines, compliance and relevant legislation to meet the emerging needs identified in consultation with all stakeholders.Lead the financial, business performance and financial strategy functions relevant to Infrastructure and Logistics Management through the provision of advice and high level interpretation of relevant legislation and compliance. Manage and maintain the budget of the Infrastructure and Logistics Unit to forecast the current and future financial periods to achieve business strategy objectives, ensuring strategic use of available resources.Liaise closely with the Manager, Maintenance and Safety to ensure seamless continuity of facilities and logistical support to the region.Manage the ongoing review of the region's capital programs through the inclusion of a Physical Resource Strategic Plan for the region that incorporates capital investment, maintenance, and disposal planning to be achieved through asset management strategies.Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes. Provide leadership on individual and team performance and future goals.Manage communication and actively engage with industry, business and the community. Undertake any other tasks and duties as directed.How you will be assessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:Demonstrate strong values-based leadership by consistenc living the TAFE Qld Values and ethical standards in all actions and decision.Strong management and administrative competency evidenced by significant operational and business outcome achievements within an Infrastructure and logistics environment in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.High level conceptual and analytical proficiency demonstrated through significant achievement of budgetary objectives in aligning with legislative and compliance requirements, and commitment to quality facilities outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles including budgeting and financial management and achievement of results.
