As the Manager Human Resources for Scenic Rim Regional Council, your key responsibility will be to develop and maintain a contemporary Human Resources (HR) policy framework that aligns to local government best practice, Council's corporate values and HR strategic initiatives.
As a successful candidate for this position, you will possess demonstrable experience as a generalist Human Resources professional, within local government or multi-disciplinary organisation, preferably within a public sector context. You will have solid experience in workplace, industrial and employee relations in a unionised workforce, underpinned by a commitment to business and continuous improvement processes.
Leading a committed team and as a trusted advisor across the organisation, you bring demonstrated experience in critical thinking, providing HR advice across the employee lifecycle including performance management, workforce conflict, employee grievances, leader education, implementation of HR policy and procedures, recruitment, work health safety, workforce planning and reporting, and industrial and employee relations. You are forward-thinking, approachable, and have confident communication and engagement ability to liaise with a diverse workforce, ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.
