Join our team as the Manager of Housing and Land Strategy, where you'll lead and navigate a dynamic landscape of strategic policy issues and reform initiatives within the contemporary Victorian planning system. Focused on housing and land use policies, you'll work closely with local governments to implement Victoria's Housing Statement – The Decade Ahead 2024-2034. You'll influence and negotiate with diverse government and external stakeholders to collaboratively deliver superior planning outcomes. As a key leader within the Plan for Victoria branch, you'll manage staff, oversee program budgets, and drive the development and implementation of innovative plans to meet the demands of a modern and efficient planning system.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
As the Manager of Housing and Land Strategy, you will lead a team to address diverse strategic policy issues and reforms in the Victorian planning system, focusing on housing targets, affordable housing, and land use policies. You'll provide expert advice, prepare critical reports and legislation, and identify emerging issues to ensure timely responses. By building effective relationships with stakeholders, you'll influence views on complex matters and support departmental priorities. Your leadership will foster a high-performing team, offering strategic direction on policy development, stakeholder consultation, and project management. You'll manage resources, budgets, and project milestones, promoting a positive team culture that emphasises empowerment, support, and well-being, while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
