Do Work That Matters. CommBank's Group Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team is looking for a manager to contribute to our Group M&A department sitting within Group Strategy. Our team is responsible for the evaluation and execution of all mergers, acquisitions and divestments considered by the CBA Group. Your Role. As a Manager in M&A you will be involved in the end-to-end Merger or Acquisition transaction from origination through to execution and subsequent completion. You will be responsible for conducting due diligence to assess the strategic and financial benefits and risks associated with various M&A opportunities, including both buy and sell side transactions. Additionally, you will support senior leadership and colleagues across the bank, by utilising experience to contribute recommendations, advice & insights on various elements of the M&A transaction process allowing senior leaders to make informed decisions for the CBA Group and subsequently our customers. On any given day you may: Undertake detailed financial analysis and valuation work, including developing financial modelsDraft presentations and papers for senior stakeholders, committees and Boards within the CBA GroupUnderstand the strategies of the individual Business Units and consider whether opportunities fit within that strategyIndependently manage specific workstreams within M&A transactionsLiaise with Business Unit and support function partnersAssist in leveraging external resources e.g. investment banking advisors We're interested in hearing from people who have: Experience within M&A, corporate development, or equivalent deal making and executing experience from within either an advisory, transaction services or corporate & investment banking environment. You will also have: Depth of experience managing deals and activities from conception until executionWell-developed ability to assess and manage competing priorities, often in time sensitive environmentsPrior experience in M&A, corporate finance/developmentStrong stakeholder management and communication skills From here, the opportunities are endless.
