We are looking for a Manager – Functional Delivery within our Business Platforms team that focus on the supporting technologies that underpin the HR Domain.
The role is responsible for ensuring that our business processes, system developments and the solutions are strongly aligned to our business' functional needs.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced leader to deliver the services, lead a team and execute to our service line roadmap within our global organisation.
The role will contribute to the platform health, service performance, and continuous platform improvement to ensure operational experience and ongoing service stability.
The team you are joining will work together to ensure we establish best practice as Rio Tinto transitions to Workday across its global operations.
Reporting to the Manager – People Platforms and working in collaborative and supportive environment within our Technology Platforms division, you will:
Be responsible for ensuring system health, performance, issue identification and resolution to deliver maximum availability of the Workday Platform.Ensure data security and appropriate controls are in place considering the high sensitivity of the information within the platform.Ensure integrations to Workday, as the single source of truth for HR data, follows Rio Tinto's current standards to maintain data integrity.Find and mitigate Workday platform risks to a level acceptable within Rio Tinto risk matrix.Establish and maintain the processes involved in making configuration changes to Workday, including appropriate testing and change control procedures that align with a Tier 1 application.Be responsible for Platform development and deployment/release process.Manage Critical and High Priority incidents impacting the business including customer engagement, escalations, and incident management.Identify and implement opportunities for system optimisation and efficiencies.Ensure oversight of the delivery of cyclical processes to quality and timelines.Contribute to the development of policies and standards for our platform architecture.What you will bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team7+ years working in IT operations, software development or DevOps environment idealMinimum of 3 years of Solution Architecture or Design ExperienceExtensive Workday configuration capability in Core HR and at least two other Workday Modules (Talent, Recruitment, Compensation, Learning).Demonstrated experience with end-to-end ownership of HR systems within an enterprise organisation, with global reach.Demonstrated leadership experience managing both internal and outsourced resources.Understanding of SaaS models.Working with SaaS support structures.Working in a partially or wholly outsourced environment, with multiple stakeholders.Strong business engagement/stakeholder management expertise.Broad business process understanding with knowledge of impacts of business decisions and changes.What we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you have helped the world progress.A work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programComprehensive medical benefits including subsidized private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany provided insurance coverExtensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging optionsCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership goals.Ongoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing supportExclusive employee discounts (banking, accommodation, cars, retail and more)Flexible working arrangements.About Rio Tinto Rio Tinto is a leading global mining and materials company.
