We are looking for Managers to join our Financial Services Office (FSO) in both our Sydney and Melbourne offices, supporting the Financial Accounting Advisory Services team. We are seeking driven and ambitious Managers with 5+ years' experience to play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships, leading highly skilled project teams and delivering a first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements. The team provides finance, treasury and other advisory services on financial product distribution and consumptions to banking, insurers, asset management, corporate and government clients. This role is open to individuals with valid Australian working rights. Services include:Financial product distribution support: Advising clients and providing assurance over business processes which structure, book, reconcile, value and account for financial instruments. Working on capital markets regulatory reform projects. Working with EY's transaction practice in supporting sophisticated debt financiers and equity investors to undertake due diligence activities on potential borrowers / investees. Helping clients leverage financial technology solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their internal and external reporting processes. Financial product consumption support: Working with corporate treasury functions through providing internal and external assurance support, facilitating process and governance transformation and supporting strategic projects which define target operating model, selection and implementation of treasury management systems and better financial risk management decisions. Supporting corporate and government with their use of transaction banking solutions from strategy to implementation and execution, to supporting working capital management. Your key responsibilities Lead various engagements working directly with a wide range of clients across several industries in the areas outlined above. Execute projects end-to-end, including defining strategies, solving problems, coaching teams and managing budgets. Demonstrate an advanced proficiency in financial products. Be professional and a self-starter who can both operate in teams and autonomously. Understand the evolving factors affecting our clients' businesses and begin to develop a network of your own relationships. Take ownership of, prepare and communicate high quality client deliverables. Ensure work is delivered in a timely fashion and in compliance with EY policies and quality and risk management principles.What we're looking for We're interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go. Essential Relevant bachelor's degree and completed professional qualifications relevant to Finance, Risk or Treasury, i.e. CAANZ or CFA (or equivalent, recognised by these specific bodies). 5+ years' experience post qualification working experience, preferably in Consulting or Assurance at a professional services firm. Desire to drive revenue growth through the identification and conversion of new opportunities for the team, building relationships and expending our market service offering to clients. Strong understanding of financial product cash flows and the Financial Services industry, ideally within Australia and New Zealand. Proficient in Microsoft 364 product suite. Advanced business writing skills and communication skills (written and oral). Excellent negotiation skills. Good capability in technical finance and risk relevant matters and/or treasury. Critical mindset, practical and solution-oriented approach to identify technical developments and evaluate and advise impacts. Open to travel for work purposes, flexible with work hours to accommodate project deadlines. Commitment to work >60% of the week at office or client sites. Desirable Working expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters. Working experience in the Financial Service sector, preferably in Finance, Risk or Treasury environment. Knowledge of current market issues in Australia. Knowledge of contemporary technology tools such as Alteryx, BluePrism, PowerBI or Tableau.Our roles can also be offered on a part time, flexible, and hybrid basis to balance your time between the home and office.
