The Role: Provide high level advice and support on finance operations matters across the Department, including accounts payable and receivable functions and centralised invoice processing, the processing of staff reimbursements, coordination of debt recovery and management of the Tasmanian Government Card.
Manage, plan, motivate and develop the Financial Operations team to be proactive, efficient and effective in support of service delivery, providing high level strategic leadership and direction in managing the physical, human and financial resources of the Financial Operations unit.
You will need: Strong management and leadership skills. The ability to build a strong and positive team culture. A thorough understanding of financial operations in a large business environment. The ability to improve business processes to gain efficiency. The Team: The Financial Operations team performs a variety of core finance functions for the whole of the Department of Health. This includes accounts payable and receivable functions and centralised invoice processing, the processing of staff reimbursements, coordination of debt recovery and management of the Tasmanian Government Card.
Details of appointment: Permanent, term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Note: hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $124,371 to $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
