Job DescriptionKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inventory Accounting and ComplianceInventory accounting and process controlReview of 3rd party manufacturing invoices and costingsMonth close reporting requirementsMonthly Quantity ReconciliationStandard vs Actual tracking for inventoryTracking of scrap/write offs of inventoryInventory provisioning workingEnsuring audit requirements pertaining to inventoryAccruals pertaining to other cost of salesIntercompany Transactions and Fixed AssetsIntercompany payments and compliancesManaging compliance for all international paymentsPreparation and tracking of all intercompany cross charges/debit notesPreparation of Audit Schedules and requirementsFixed Assets accounting and capital budget trackingReview of Vehicle capitalization and recovery working along with perquisite taxes computationTracking of lease properties and accounting as per UGAAP and IGAAPOthersSupporting all types of Audits – Statutory, Internal, SOX, Group Audit, Tax etc.Preparation of month end schedulesPreparing books of accounts, balance sheet and financial reporting – monthly, quarterly, and annuallyManaging ad-hoc requirementsTesting and implementation of Internal control over financial reporting (ICFR)Provide adequate support to finance and accounting teamQualificationsJob Qualifications (Minimum Requirements): The requirements described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. General knowledge of challenges associated with large US multinationals, manufacturing and/or biopharmaceutical entitiesMinimum 3 to 5 years' experience with General accounting in either a large accounting firm and/or large multinational companyCA Intermediate/MBA Finance/CMA IntermediateExperience with SAPFluent in written and spoken English is essential. Any other language is an assetExcellent written and verbal skills enabling effective communication in particular with senior level of management (incl. those without experience with tax)Strong analytical skills, with a hands-on attitude to problem solvingAbility to work independently and exercise initiativeAbility to work in a virtual multi-cultural team and to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of co-workers and other individualsWillingness to travel, if requiredEssential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials): Good understanding in Inventory accounting and controlsIndependently handling and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.Behaviors: Team Player, taking completing accountability and responsibility, following AbbVie values and culture, proactive and self-starter, eager to work in dynamic changing environment and requirements.
