As Manager Executive Office, you will:
Lead the Executive Office team, providing high-level administrative support to the CEO, overseeing critical corporate matters, and managing key projects to ensure effective governance and smooth operations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Councillors, staff, and external stakeholders, while optimising communication channels and ensuring timely execution of Council decisions and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Address confidential and politically sensitive issues and represent the Office of the CEO in internal and external affairs.
Establish and lead highly sensitive projects and initiatives, and be actively involved in organisational change projects.
Ensure information is provided to elected representatives in an effective and timely manner.
Coordinate and consolidate action items from Council Meetings, Executive Management Team Meetings, and other sources.
Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and documentation for Council meetings and Councillor Briefing Sessions.
Monitor and manage the Office of the CEO budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Council policies.
About you:
To support your success in this role you will have:
A relevant qualification in public administration, management, business administration, or related field.
In-depth understanding of Council operations, governance, and administrative processes, with previous experience in a Local Government setting.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively on complex and sensitive issues.
Demonstrated capability in relationship building and stakeholder management.
Experience leading, developing, and supervising a team.
Ability to reason conceptually, solve complex problems, and provide strategic advice.
Proven success in preparing and writing grant proposals.

Please note: this role is based in Wycheproof, Council's preference is that the successful candidate should reside in or be willing to move to the region. Housing in Buloke Shire is significantly more affordable than in Metropolitan or larger Regional Areas.
