We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the Early Engagement team in the Information Technology Branch in TMR and play a crucial role in helping customers understand and achieve their business outcomes.

The purpose of the Manager, Early Engagement is to lead a team of Advisors to support customers when they engage with the Information Technology Branch.
We work closely with our internal TMR customers to understand their needs and requirements for new ICT solutions, as well as with our colleagues in the IT branch to guide and connect customers with the right teams and processes, or to find the right path for the delivery of their business outcomes. This means supporting customers with a range of needs from large, complex ICT initiatives through to smaller, tactical solutions.
The Manager, Early Engagement, plays a significant role in supporting the branch's customer-centric culture that embraces the importance of customer experience to ensure the customers find the right path to successfully achieve their outcome.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Manage the pipeline of early engagement work received by the team from customers and prioritise, mentor and coach team members to ensure the business achieves their desired outcomes.
Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts for each Divisional Portfolio Board and ITB's Program Portfolio Office to advocate and imbed the Early Engagement function and provide visibility of the services offered.
Lead the development of strategies for any areas of resistance for the customer, track and report risks and issues for the pipeline of work.
Provide visibility of customer needs and progression of activities within the branch to ITB Leadership as well as providing inputs and updates to Project boards, ITB forums and project working groups across Transport and Main Roads as required.
Build and maintain strong, positive and constructive relationships with ITB teams and customers as an advocate for positive outcomes for customer requests.
What you will need to have:
Strong customer focus with proven experience in helping customers navigate complex ICT environments and associated processes.
Experience managing and leading high performing teams in large complex organisations.
Exceptional communication skills to support strategic advice and stakeholder engagement and the capability to negotiate agreements, resolve conflicts, and advocate for mutually beneficial outcomes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to translate and align business needs with ICT concepts and processes.
