About the Opportunity
The Manager, Corporate Governance reports to the Head, Corporate Governance and provides professional secretariat support for Council Committees, manages a range of corporate governance functions, monitors and responds to corporate governance matters to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice, and delivers advisory services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of corporate governance. The Manager Corporate Governance may also undertake a range of broader corporate governance functions as advised by the Head Corporate Governance which may include the aforementioned or any other activities as determined from time to time.
This role operates in a complex regulatory and policy environment and will have access to highly confidential and/or sensitive information. The Manager Corporate Governance is responsible for providing a high quality service in a timely and efficient manner in order to support the activities across corporate governance. This extends to ensuring that the incumbent is able to attend meetings and events across University campuses or at other locations including attending outside of traditional business hours, as required from time to time.
About you
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with an acute eye for detail and precision
Executive and Board level presentation development and delivery skills
Corporate governance and secretariat experience including preparation of meeting schedules, agendas, minutes and associated processes
Adept at multi-tasking and prioritising demanding workloads with conflicting deadlines
Analytical, with the ability to research policy, identify gaps and issues and provide recommendations for action
Experience in high level policy, compliance, and governance review
A proven ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
Postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of at least five years relevant experience and/or education/training in a large complex organisation or in the higher education sector.

What we can offer
This is a full time, fixed term opportunity for 2 years based at our Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campuses.
HEW 9 Salary - $126,882.22 - $131,419.05 + 17% superannuation. Full package range - $148,452.20 - $153,760.28.
