Position: Full time fixed vacancy for 6 months
Apply your well-developed knowledge of the road and civil industry; constructions and maintenance, and project management processes. Lead the team delivering large Civil Infrastructure programs in the Barkly Region. Provide high-level specialist construction advice and leadership. As Manager of Civil Delivery & Operations, you will provide expert advice and support to clients and key stakeholders in relation to the functional brief of major projects, while coordinating, leading, and advising a team of administration and technical staff on the development and delivery of Capital Works, Minor New Works, and Repairs and Maintenance civil projects.
Your Key Responsibilities Include: Managing the design, planning, and delivery of civil works programs and projects in the Barkly Region. Leading a small team to project manage assigned civil works. Ensuring the delivery of projects to a high standard. Providing oversight of the Civil team to undertake asset inspections, and prepare project proposals, technical reports, and estimates of costs. Undertaking the role of Senior Project Manager and Superintendent's representative in the administration of contracts. Ideally, you will have high-level knowledge and experience in the road and civil industry; construction and maintenance techniques and practices; project management; and government procurement processes. Your demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of Capital Works, Minor New Works, and Repairs and Maintenance, as well as relevant legislation, will be invaluable. High-level written and oral communication skills, along with proven relationship building and influencing skills, are essential.
