They partner with families, providing services and support, where children are at risk of escalating within the child protection system or entering out-of-home care.  This position is Aboriginal identified. To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the role be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.As Manager of the Carer Recruitment team, you will hold the responsibility of ensuring thorough organisation and delivery of carer assessments, carer transfers and building service capacity. Competitive Benefits;35-hour weekFlexible and hybrid work arrangements (work from home during school holidays)Additional Leave over the Christmas periodAdditional Leave accrual-based serviceLeave LoadingEmployee incentive programsMonthly wellness days (KPI Driven)Extensive Aboriginal cultural connections and trainingSupport to obtain further qualificationsThis role will involve;Lead a team of five staff members, providing supervision and support in their roles.Conduct comprehensive carer assessments to identify suitable Foster and Kinship carers, producing evidence-based and analytical reports.Manage the approval or decline process for all carer applicants.Oversee and facilitate carer reviews, ensuring compliance with established procedures.Provide training, supervision, and mentoring to the Recruitment team to ensure high-quality performance.Ensure compliance with internal and external databases and regulatory requirements, including risk management and evaluation of potential carers.Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet targeted KPIs for carer recruitment and transfers.Coordinate responses to placement requests and oversee information sessions and community events for carer recruitment.Participate in stakeholder consultations and contribute to the development of child-safe policies and procedures.Maintain cooperative relationships with government and non-government sectors, representing the organization as needed and preparing reports for presentation at carer approval meetings.They are looking for candidates with experience in the Foster Care Recruitment and Assessment space.The requirements for this role include;Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification under the Anti-Discrimination Act.Qualifications in Community Services or relevant field.Step by Step and Shared Lives qualifications.High-level written and oral communication skills and demonstrated report writing ability.Ability to participate on paid on-call dutiesCurrent WWCC, Police Check and NSW Driver's LicenseProof of at least two Covid-19 vaccinations.Why partner with abrs to secure your next role?
