In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and reinforcing enterprise portfolio governance standards, methodologies, and best practices to support sound investment across the lines of business in AusNet.
You will influence and uplift the overall group PMO approach to Portfolio Planning and prioritisation in addition to the uptake of communities of practice.
Achieving cost savings through cross-network optimisation will also be a primary objective in this role.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Group Operations department, reporting into the GM Group PMO.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
Establish and embed best practice governance frameworks that are fit for purpose.
Uplift and lead the governance & performance community of practice to foster a culture of best practice standards and continuous learning.
Partner with LoBs and enablement functions to ensure sound investment case management and governance including monitoring of key controls, in line with key strategic imperatives.
Enable and drive a consistent value framework for investment prioritisation.
Drive engagement and compliance of systems and processes to manage governance and monitor performance across the portfolio.
Oversee and report on group portfolio governance and performance outcomes, deviations, risks & opportunities.
Contribute to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK).
Support the delivery and maintenance of ISO 21500 certification and ongoing compliance.
Inspire and coach a skilled, high-performing team that will foster a culture of best practice and continuous improvement across the organization, aligned to AusNet's leadership behaviours and values.
You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or another related field.
Extensive experience in portfolio planning & prioritisation, investment analysis, or facilitative governance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Proven track record of supporting investment portfolios and capital projects successfully.
Demonstrated success of owning a value framework across an enterprise.
Proven experience managing senior stakeholders up to EGM level.
Familiarity with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends that impact operational efficiency and excellence.
Proficient in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence drive alignment of program management requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate financial and PMO concepts to all audiences.
