Manager - Business, Credit Hindsighting Westpac Banking Corporation, Sydney, Australia Opportunity to join Westpac's 2LOD Risk team Established career path and progression opportunities Sydney based permanent role Job DescriptionAs a Manager in 2LOD Risk, you will monitor and review the quality of credit decisioning and Credit Approval Authority (CAL) application within Commercial Bank, SME, Small Business, Private Wealth, CFAL, and Specialised Business. Undertakes credit file hindsight activities, providing high-quality feedback, coaching, and guidance to CAL holders to ensure that quality outcomes are generated across the Business & Wealth portfolios.To assist Executive Manager, Credit Hindsighting to manage issues, actions, and resolutions arising from hindsight reviews, stakeholder engagement, JUNO, Credit Assurance, and/or Group Audit engagements.To provide 'overflow' credit hindsight support for other businesses as required, delivering high-quality feedback, coaching, and guidance in a timely manner.You will also: Conduct credit file hindsight reviews to ensure compliance with the applicable CAL Grids / authorities and BB Hindsight Review policies Conduct credit file hindsight reviews, assessing whether decisions are soundly based, include appropriate analysis/mitigation of risks, and funding & financial solutions provided are appropriate for our customers Provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to stakeholders on hindsight outcomes, emerging issues, and "best practice" risk management techniques and practices to help improve the credit capabilities of authority holders Ensure that issues or opportunities are communicated in a constructive manner and discuss ideas, suggestions, or alternatives Deep dive analysis into high-risk areas within the Business & Wealth portfolios Assist with preparation of regular reports and insights to key business stakeholders May attend and provide support and insights for stakeholder engagement meetings May review risk management policies, practices, and standards for application within the business Create and maintain sound and productive working relationships with business partners Contribute to the learning environment by participating in necessary professional development to enhance risk management capability What's in it for me?Inspiring teams and unexpected opportunities.
