As they continue to expand, they are seeking a motivated and strategic-minded Senior Commercial Manager to join their team.
Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with deep knowledge of transport and logistics contracts management. This role will oversee and manage our client's commercial and project operations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and results-driven individual with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing contracts, and building strong client relationships. The Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in maximizing profitability and ensuring the company's continued success.
Key Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Develop and implement effective commercial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share. Prepare tenders and review and adjust contract pricing. Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to foster long-term partnerships. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning in regard to our contracts and projects. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams to achieve cohesive and integrated business strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Proven experience (10+ years) in a commercial management role within the transport, distribution, and warehouse industry. Strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive informed decisions. Leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams. Exceptional communication and people skills. High level of digital literacy / excellent letter writing and spreadsheet utilisation skills. High level of commercial acumen, ability to identify issues from trends and actions.
