Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Energy & Resources, Infrastructure and Property sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery.About the RoleOur Finance department is the backbone of our diverse business units and operational functions nationwide. We are on the lookout for an experienced Accountant to join our vibrant team in the Adelaide head office on a permanent basis.Fyfe is on an exciting growth trajectory, and this role is pivotal in supporting organic growth and planned strategic acquisitions. This is your chance to drive process improvements and help us achieve industry best practices as we embark on ambitious strategic initiatives.This is a hands-on role where you will become the go-to person providing varied financial support to the business across Australia. You will be part of a team that is collaborative and supportive, providing opportunities for learning and development.Key Responsibilities include:Month-End Mastery: Lead month-end accounting, performance analysis, data integration, and reporting.Financial Wizardry: Complete month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee banking requirements (credit card, covenants reporting, finance leases), fixed asset register and CAPEX reporting and assist with the preparation of financial statements.Analytical Excellence: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and assist with, annual budgets, and forecasting.Tax Savvy: Assist with tax affairs including BAS, FBT, and annual tax returns.Support & Mentorship: mentor junior finance team members, provide ad-hoc support and training to non-accounting staff.Innovative Improvements: Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.What we are looking for:Skills: Advanced Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid financial understanding.Collaborative Spirit: Work closely within the finance team and across the broader businessAttributes: Professional, detail-oriented, committed to customer service, and delivering results within deadlines.Your background:3-5 years' experience in professional services or a similar role in commerceCPA / CA (or near completion)Previous experience with financial systems and knowledge of general accounting principlesAdvanced level experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
